Music at McClellan sets record attendance
Common wisdom is that the fourth season of any event is a struggle; the
event is no longer new and support often starts to wane. Not so for Music
at McClellan! Last week’s closing concert set a new attendance record.
Thank you for helping
Music at McClellan is run largely through the generous support of our
many volunteers. Those folks directing traffic, parking cars, manning
the box office, collecting tickets, selling t-shirts, and providing treats
at the hospitality tent are all volunteers. Many of the entertainers before
and after the concerts have volunteered their time and talents to make
your evening more enjoyable. And there are countless people behind the
scenes, keeping the park clean and trimmed, hosing down the parched lawn
to keep the dust down, cleaning up trash, setting up signs, distributing
flyers, and the list goes on. If you know one of our many volunteers,
be sure to give them your thanks. If you want to get involved next season,
please contact any Music at McClellan committee
member.
What’s ahead?
With the conclusion of the 2007 season, it is time to look ahead. Tree
clearing has begun at the Monteith Amphitheater;
our hope is that 2008 will see Music at McClellan making one more move.
Big changes are ahead. Your feedback and suggestions are important to
us. Let us know what you enjoyed, what you would like changed, and what
we should add. Talk to any of the Music at McClellan committee members
or send us an email to: maminfo@gmail.com
