Longleaf Park

Music at McClellan concerts are held in Longleaf Park on the former grounds of Fort McClellan. Bring your lawn chairs and your picnic basket and enjoy this beautiful outdoor setting.

Fort McClellan has a long and rich history dating back to 1917 as a divisional camp. Many of the Spanish Mission style buildings around Buckner Circle were constructed during the mid-1930s as part of a base improvement program.

McClellan went through a building boom in the 1940s and again in 1951 as war loomed on the horizon. The base thrived during the 1970s and 1980s as a major training facility for military and civilians. But by May 20, 1999, the base was officially closed.

Today McClellan is experiencing a rebirth with many families and businesses drawn to this stunning setting.

It is hoped that the Music at McClellan concert series is only the beginning of a new chapter in the history of McClellan.
