Harry Potter & Friends
Spread out your cape and set up your cauldron for a magical evening at Longleaf Park as the Alabama Symphony presents Harry Potter and Friends. Witches and wizards from the Dixie Hallows will be joining us mere muggles for a musical adventure into the land of imagination and movies. We'll hear pieces from Pirates of the Caribbean, the Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, and Spiderman, along with the unforgettable music of the Harry Potter movies. There is no need to remain invisible on this evening, put on your dress robes and your finest hats (tartan or stuffed vultures are acceptable) and join us. It promises to be magical from the very first swish of the baton.

The Owlery
Come early and let your fantasy take wings with a lesson on owls by our Care of Interesting Creatures Teacher, Professor Dan Spaulding. Professor Dan hails from the far off land of the Anniston Museum of Natural History and he will be bringing along several of his feathered friends. If you have attended any of Professor Dan's classes at the Mountain Longleaf Festival, you'll know that his lessons are absolutely spell binding.

Taking Flight
If you have never been to Longleaf Park, just follow the directions of those silent characters in black and white. No, they have not been jinxed by the langlock spell to glue their tongues to the roof of their mouths and they are not ghosts or ghouls, they are mimes from our local acting company, CAST.

Even if your broomstick is in for repairs, you can still enjoy the levitation of objects achieved through the juggling wizardry of Ron & Joel Anglin. Without uttering a single summoning charm, these two masters can delight audiences of all ages.

The Feast
Is there a more charming location for a picnic than under the stars at McClellan? Bring along your own basket or visit any of our vendors on site. If your locomotor charm isn't up to snuff, the Jacksonville High School Band will be on hand to help you lug all those chairs, folding tables, and goodies to and from the parking lot. Just watch for the Totes for Tips and help support these young musicians.
